On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who have laid down their lives for our country. As a veteran who has lost dear friends in Iraq, today holds a special place in my heart.

In the book of John 15:13, Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” This ultimate sacrifice mirrors the incredible love and bravery shown by our fallen heroes. Let us take a moment to pray for their souls and for the families who carry their memory.

May God bless the souls of those who have departed and bring peace to the hearts of those who mourn them. As we enjoy the freedoms they fought to protect, let us live in a way that honors their sacrifice with gratitude, love, and faith.
