1. Opening Prayer

– The meeting was opened with a prayer led by Mike Schulze, asking for safe fishing trips and blessings for the members and their families.

2. Welcome and Opening Remarks

– Chapter President Mike Schulze welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked them for attending.

– Mike briefly spoke about the chapter’s growth and the importance of community involvement in fishing.

3. Member Fish Stories

– Several members talked about their fishing adventures over the past month. Sometimes it’s hard to get anyone to share, but once one person shares, more are willing to share.

4. Reel Blessed Chapter Event Announcement

– Mike Schulze spoke about the upcoming Reel Blessed Chapter event on September 7, 2024, at Indian Riverside Park.

– He highlighted that the event is a saltwater family fish camp and emphasized the importance of community service.

– Mike asked Salt Strong Insiders to volunteer and help out at the event, as it is a significant part of the chapter’s outreach efforts.

5. Guest Speaker: Jayson Sideliner

– Bill Olson, the Guest Speaker Coordinator, introduced Jayson Sideliner, a local expert on inshore fishing.

– Jayson delivered an engaging presentation on how to catch big snook at night under bridges.

– A Q&A session followed, where members asked Jayson for tips and tricks for successful night fishing.

6. July Chapter Tournament Winners Announcement

– Mike Schulze and Bill Olson announced the winners of the July Chapter Tournament:

  – 1st Place: Bill Olson – $65

  – 2nd Place: Mike Schulze – $30

  – 3rd Place: Vern Schaejbe – $25

7. September Chapter Tournament Rules

– Bill Olson outlined the upcoming September Chapter Tournament rules, emphasizing conservation and ethical fishing practices.

8. Closing Remarks

– Mike Schulze thanked everyone for their participation and contributions to the chapter.
