Saturday’s Game Plan Fort Pierce

Tania and I are looking forward to fishing tomorrow. The weather is cooler, only forecasted to be 51 degrees when we hit the docks. It should be an incoming as high tide is 9:36am. I am excited to be fishing the last few hours of the high tide as the water should be clear and hopefully some Pompano came in with the tide.

We will start off by drifting from south from South Causeway bridge. When we do this drift, we are expecting to catch Sheepshead, Pompano, Snapper, and possibly Spanish Mackerel. We have also caught catfish, grouper, blue runner, grunts, and pork fish. The beauty of fishing the river is you really never know what you might catch. Tania and I have caught 75 species of fish in the river.

Depending on how we don the drift we may just drift all morning. But we will have our friend Don with his daughter Noelle with us, so if the fishing is slow while drifting, we will shift to targeting Sheepshead on the channel markers and docks.

Once the current shifts to outgoing we will most likely try drifting the Turn Basin like we did on Monday. The conditions tomorrow are very similar to Monday so we are hopeful that we have a good day.

Tania and I pray that all who make it out this weekend have a safe and blessed trip. May the Lord bless you with his protection and open your eyes to see all His beautiful creations. May you all have tight lines and good times!
