Hey everyone,
I haven’t shared this with many people yet, and I’ve been a bit withdrawn lately because my position at Sikorsky Aircraft was eliminated in a reduction of force. I spent 18 and a half years working for Sikorsky, and I had hoped to retire there. However, God had other plans for me.
From May 16th until today, I was officially unemployed. Thankfully, Sikorsky provided me with a decent severance package to float me while I found a new job. During this storm, God stretched me and gave me plenty of practice in learning patience.
As some of you may already know, during my downtime, my wife and I went on a mission trip to Romania, which blessed us beyond belief. We were uncertain that we would even go due to losing my job, but we remained faithful and obedient, and God provided for us.
Today was my first day in my new position as a Monitoring and Diagnostics Engineer at PSM, a Hanwha Company. I am really looking forward to growing in this new position and, God willing, I can see myself retiring here.
Thank you to everyone who supported us during this challenging time. Your prayers and encouragement meant the world to us. Here’s to new beginnings and trusting in God’s plan!
