Fishing Adventures at My Local Spillway
Had an hour to fish the local spillway with a Zebco 33, Crappie Max bait, and a 1/16 oz jig head. Landed a Mayan cichlid and a 12-inch bass, plus a lively redear sunfish. Lost four bass but enjoyed nonstop action and strong fights on light tackle.

Evening Trout Run: A Quick Success
A quick evening fishing trip leads to success as Mike and fellow Salt Strong Insider Vern target trout. Despite the slack tide, they land six trout and a Jack Crevalle using a cork popper and a 4-inch Mulligan. A late return home was worth it, as the targeted species was caught just in time.
