On Tuesday I only had about two hours of free time so I decided I would make a quick fishing trip near my house. I armed myself with a few dozen shiners from Jigz and Tackle and decided to head to one of my favorite holes by my house.  

My fishing adventure started at the spillway by my house, and it turned out to be a fruitful spot. Despite spending only about an hour there, I managed to reel in two impressive catches—a gar and a bass. The gar, known for its long, slender body and toothy grin, proved to be quite a thrilling catch. I also hooked a bass, a prized catch that never fails to excite with its agility and strength. These early successes set the tone for an eventful afternoon of fishing.

Since the bite was slow at my first spot, I made my way to the C-23 canal spillway. With the previous successes fresh in my mind, I was met with more excitement. In a mere 30 minutes, I managed to hook not one, but two snook! These elusive game fish are known for their acrobatic leaps and fierce fights. Landing two of them in such a short span of time is indeed an impressive feat.

All in all I had a productive two hour fishing trip. Always fun catching a variety of fish, Tania and I pray all who make it out the rest of the week have a safe and blessed trip. May you have tight lines and good times.
